Join us before the party for a critical mass bike ride! It’s the last Friday of the month and it’s been so long since we’ve united to ride together in the streets. Meet at the infamous Turtle Boy statue behind Worcester’s City Hall at 5:30. The ride will start at 6. Invite your friends so we can have a really big group! Music/noise making devices and fun costumes are totally encouraged. It’s gonna be fun! We’ll conveniently lead the ride to the party when we’ve completed our cycling adventure.

				With 2 of our shop managers and our director moving on to new places, as well as a big move back to the Stone Soup Community Center on the horizon, the Worcester Earn-a-Bike shop managers decided to take some time off to transition into the new year. Thank you for your continued support and enthusiasm! We can’t wait to get started on another year of shop hours, rides and celebrations.


We’ll be opening back up for Saturdays in February.


ALSO stay tuned for more info on our upcoming fundraising event in March! We have some bills to pay and we love an excuse to PARTY so why not celebrate the month of love with a little love for your bike and your favorite community bike shop?!

Our earn-a-bike program provides donated bicycles and parts. Participants can choose a bike to earn after volunteering ten hours towards our shop operation and then build it up with tools and parts from the shop. Volunteer tasks typically include removing and organizing parts, building bikes for donation or sale, or generally helping in the shop, but if you have a skill or interest that you think could benefit us and count as volunteer hours, let us know!

				Youth Earn-a-Bike (16 & under)


Our youth program is similar to our adult program, except youth earn their first bike in five hours and spend that time learning skills by building up their own bike with the help of a shop manager. All following bikes are earned in ten hours like with the adult earn-a-bike program.


The shop is open for youth and adults on Wednesdays (3:30pm-6:30pm) and Saturdays (11am – 4pm). With both programs, there is a two bike per year limit so take care of your bike!!
